Greenway 2026: Driving Sustainability Through Innovation
We are pleased to reflect on the success of “Greenway 2026: Driving Sustainability Through Innovation”, a pivotal forum held on 23 June 2026 in Hong Kong.

Over 300 guests from government, business, and civil society came together to accelerate Hong Kong’s green transition through innovation and technology.
The programme featured distinguished opening remarks by Ambassador Harvey Rouse, Head of the European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao, and The Hon Paul Lam Ting-kwok, GBS, JP, Acting Chief Executive of the HKSAR government. Their participation reinforced the shared commitment to a more sustainable future.

Green & Smart Cities – Business at the Forefront
-
The Future of Green Mobility: Innovation Across Air, Land and Sea
-

-
Empowering Hong Kong’s Innovation Drive: The Contribution of EU Technology
Policy recommendations and next steps
The forum concluded with the Sharing of EuroCham's Business Recommendations, presented to the HKSAR government by Johannes Hack, Chair of the European Chamber of Commerce.
The recommendations were written through workshops and stakeholder engagement ahead of the event, the industry proposals focused on accelerating Hong Kong’s green and innovative transformation - spanning green city and infrastructure, green finance, green mobility, sustainable supply chains, and enabling innovation and talent.
Networking and collaboration
Beyond the formal discussions, the event also provided a meaningful platform for networking, allowing attendees to connect in a relaxed setting and explore opportunities for future collaboration between European and Hong Kong stakeholders.
