The Wine and Spirits Business Council (WSBC) represents European Wine and Spirits companies in Hong Kong.
Large, medium and small enterprises from all business sectors and European Member States throughout Hong Kong and Macao are welcome to join this Business Council.
The aim is to engage the government stakeholders on imported wine and spirits issues including tax, regulations, IPRs and responsible consumption. It brings forward proposals, publishes position papers and develops constructive dialogue to facilitate market access that benefits both the trade and the development of Hong Kong
The WSBC focuses on six main market access issues and concerns in Hong Kong, including taxation of spirits, dangerous goods regulation for the storage of alcoholic beverages, alcohol regulations (e.g. supporting the legislation on legal purchasing age), intellectual property rights enforcement, environmental issues including waste management policy, and responsible drinking communications
