Mr Paul BROUGH is Chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. Until his retirement on 31 March 2012, he was the regional senior partner of KPMG Hong Kong. He joined KPMG in Hong Kong in 1983 and became a partner in 1991, specialising in banking and insurance. He headed KPMG's China Transaction & Restructuring practice from 1997 till 2009 and KPMG's ASPAC Transaction & Restructuring Services from 1998 to 2010. From September 2005 to October 2008, Paul acted as Manager of a Hong Kong financial institution on behalf of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. He was also a liquidator of eight Lehman Brothers entities in Hong Kong and is an advisor to many leading Hong Kong businessmen.
